Colonel Crawford finished off a season sweep of their bitter Northern 10 Conference rival Wynford with a 52-41 victory at Mac Morrison Gymnasium.

 

Eagles (13-2) senior guard Jordan Fenner was recognized before the game for joining the 1,000 career points list and he would show out to be the difference in the contest. Fenner scored nine of Crawford's 16 points in the opening period to put the Eagles out in front by three, then sparked a late rally just before the half to extend their lead to 29-21.

 

Conference-leading scorer Josh Crall, who entered the game averaging 26 ppg, was held to 14 on the night but helped fuel a third quarter run that put the Royals (11-5) within striking distance at 39-35 entering the fourth. An early 7-0 Eagles spurt in the frame would provide the breathing room they needed to play keep away to preserve the lead, extending their winning streak to three straight with the double-digit victory.

Fenner finished the night with a game-high 24 points while teammate Carter Valentine added seven, and both Mason Studer and Reis Walker contributed with six each.

Crall was the lone Wynford player in double-figure scoring, as Gavin Burris poured in seven and Jaron Filliater chipped-in with five.
