MANSFIELD -- An explosive start for Wooster would help the OCC frontrunners remain undefeated in league play with a 54-44 victory over Mansfield Senior at Pete Henry Gymnasium.

The Generals (8-1, 5-0) jumped all over the Tygers (2-4, 1-2) from the opening tip, dropping 27 first quarter points and never allowed Senior High to play themselves back into the contest. Wooster led 38-26 at the half before a 13-4 third quarter run got the Tygers back within striking distance before laying an egg in the fourth at the offensive end.
