The defending OCC champion Wooster Lady Generals rode their senior captain to a convincing win over Mansfield Senior, defeating the Lady Tygers by a score of 44-28 to protect their home court.

Senior High (3-3) scored the first bucket of the contest but never led again as a young Wooster squad took a 12-5 advantage into the second quarter, extending their edge to 28-15 by the half.

 

Lady Generals senior guard Macyn Siegenthaler had 10 points in each half to pace Wooster's scoring attack with a game-best 20, but felt a lack of energy from her squad during a third quarter stretch that saw Mansfield outscore them 9-8 in the frame. Wooster allowed just four Lady Tygers points in the final 11 minutes to close out a 16-point victory over their conference rivals.

Junior Madison Kurtz dropped eight Lady Generals points with Nora Levy adding five to go along with Siegenthaler's big night. Brianna Perry led the Lady Tygers with nine points, followed by Akira Johnson with eight and Skyy Montgomery with four.
