It was a cool Cinco De Mayo and it was a cool senior night for Lexington as they would beat West Holmes 8-2 in a very good showing.

 

West Holmes would be the first to get in the scoring column however getting on base then eventually being driven in on a RBI single to start things off in the first inning.

 

Unfortunately for the Knights that would be the only time tonight that they would have the lead as shortly after Lexington would add their first runs of the afternoon on a RBI single in the bottom of the first tying things up at 1.

 

In just one innings time The Lady Lex would go on a tear adding 5 runs to their total in just the 2nd inning of play putting them firmly in the lead of this one.

 

The Knights would do their best to mount a comeback adding a run in the fourth but Lexington would prove to be too much.

 

Lady Lex would put a cherry on top adding one more run late in the game and would cruise to a big win right before tournament time 8-2.
