Ashland Rolls Over Lexington 57-42, Denbow Cracks 1,000 Career Points
ASHLAND-- The Ashland Arrows secured their second-place slot in the Ohio Cardinal Conference with a
71-55 victory over West Holmes at Arrows Arena.
On senior night, the Arrows (15-4, 9-2) were on fire from the jump, with three players combining for 66 of the 71 points that the Arrows scored. The Knights (12-6, 4-5) struggled on offense with turnovers and fouls allowing Ashland to build an early lead from 18-12 after one to 42-25 by the halftime break.
West Holmes struggled with keeping control of the ball, but rebounds were hand in hand for both teams. The Knights tried to rally late in the second half, but could not pull off a comeback with the Arrows "Big 3" each having an impressive night on both ends of the floor.
Junior Luke Denbow was the Simonson Construction player of the game for his 27 points performance while Eli White and Grayson Steury scored 22 and 17 points.
