Norwalk Rolls Upper Sandusky To Sectional Championship
NORWALK --- The Norwalk Truckers used a fast start to upend the Upper Sandusky Rams in a Division 2 Sectional Championship 52-38.
Norwalk came out of the gates flying as they started the game on a 9-0 run before Upper Sandusky would even get on the board. It wouldn’t stop there as the Rams struggled to get anything to go offensively as they only scored 11 points during the first two frames. Garrett Chapin paced the Truckers throughout the contest leading them into the break with 10 points and a 28-11 lead.
The Rams were not going to go down without a fight as they came out in a press defensively and forced a few Norwalk turnovers cutting the Truckers lead to 12, however they couldn’t get enough offense to get over the hump.
Gavin Carey led Upper Sandisky with 14 points while Trent Beamer had 10.
Chapin led all scorers with 18 for Norwalk while Will Gelhaussen added in 11 to help his Truckers advance to the District Semifinals.
