Upper Wins 21st Straight As
Crall Breaks County Scoring Record

It was a night of milestones at Upper Sandusky's regular season finale against visiting Wynford on senior night where the Rams extended their winning streak to 21 straight, added a new member to the 1,000 point club and saw the Crawford County scoring record get broken.

The red hot Rams splashed seven 3-pointers in the opening quarter as they raced out to a 32-14 advantage with four starters netting at least six points in the opening frame. Upper Sandusky (21-1) then took a 51-29 lead into the break with a 19-15 scoring run in the second quarter fueled by senior Evan Young's 10 points.

Young would later crack the 1,000 point plateau with a 3-pointer in the third, joining senior teammates Mason Vent and Cam McCreary at that milestone. Young would finish the night with a team-high 18 pts, with Vent adding 17, and McCreary 14 in their final home game as the Rams increased their lead to 71-43 heading into the fourth.

More history would be made in the final quarter when Royals senior guard Josh Crall broke the school scoring record previously held by county scoring leader Mike McGuire since 1989, dropping a game-best 29 points to give him 1,757 for his career.

Upper Sandusky would go on to win 87-52, finishing 16-0 in the Northern 10 Conference as the cut down the nets to celebrate an outright championship. Wynford closes out their regular season at 14-8 with an 11-5 mark in league play.
