CENTERBURG -- Centerburg and Mt Gilead clashed on Saturday afternoon with the Trojans taking the floor for the first time in 2021 but showed no rust in a 65-29 victory fresh out of quarantine.

 

Dominating from the opening jump, Centerburg (9-1, 6-0) held the Indians (5-8, 4-5) off on the scoreboard until late in the first quarter as the backcourt of Chafin and Bland struggled offensively only notching a combined 8 points in the contest. Mick Mead was all over the speedy guards in the backcourt forcing turnovers leading to most of his 9 points. 

 

Carter Jones led all scorers with 15 pts as the Trojans controlled the glass grabbing 39 boards as the Indians had trouble boxing out and getting any rebounds without Paul Butterman. Your Remax PEAK player of the game was Carter Jones with those game-high 15 in the win
