Titans Ground Eagles 66-34 At Regionals

Colonel Crawford's record-setting season came to a close at the hands of state #2 Ottawa Glandorf in the Division III Regional Semifinals at Bowling Green State University's Stroh Center where the Titans grounded the Eagles 66-34.

From the opening minutes where Glandorf (25-1) ran out to a double-figure lead by knocking down a trio of 3-pointers while harassing Crawford with a full-court trapping defense, it was apparent the Eagles were in for an uphill battle. The Titans built a 20-9 lead after one quarter of action then played the Eagles to a 5-5 draw in the second for a 25-14 advantage at the half.

The avalanche which buried C.C. would occur after the break where Glandorf forced 10 second half turnovers converting 15 Eagles miscues into 25 points throughout the contest. With a pair of 6' 7" posts patrolling the lane, the Titans also outscored Crawford 32-8 in the paint as they ran out to a 47-21 lead by the end of the third period to basically ice the contest.

Junior guard Brennen Blevins was lights out for O.G. by scoring a game-high 23 points on 9-11 shooting while dishing out 5 assists in just 18 minutes of action. Owen Nichols added 13 pts with Ben Westrick putting up 7 pts & 6 rebs to pace the Titans who will now advance to face Evergreen for the Regional title.

Crawford finishes their season at 23-4 with a school record for wins as they say goodbye to senior captains Jordan Fenner, Reis Walker and Gavin Feichtner who as 4-year letterman won a program-record 81 varsity games throughout their careers including 4 trips to the District Finals and a Regional appearance.

Fenner and Feichtner each scored 7 pts to lead the Eagles in scoring while Walker, Mason Studer and Caret Valentine each had 4 pts.
