Ontario Bats Catch Fire Late, Down Shelby 11-5

ONTARIO -- Ontario routed Shelby in a late-game battle 11-5 in the early goings of league play.

It was a tough night in the batter's box for both teams through 3 innings of action, as each team was absolutely phenomenal on defense in the first half of the contest. After the Warriors went up 2-0, Shelby answered back with a huge 2-run bomb of their own and knotted things all at 2-2.

The Whippets tacked on another absolute bomb of a homerun that added three to their total putting them in command with not a lot of time for Ontario to catch back up. Then, Ontario completely took over at the dish, and scored 6 runs putting them at a huge advantage going into the final inning of play and ultimately giving them the win in a massive early conference game.
