Davis, Craner Help Flames Burn Down Galion 69-50
MANSFIELD -- Mansfield Christian dominated Galion from the get go, forcing turnovers and getting fast break opportunities as the Flames beat the Tigers 69-50.
Mansfield Christian (7-10) came out of the gates red hot from the field as Amare Davis and Jace Craner combined for 39 points to spark the Flames. Doing most of the damage at the charity stripe, the score after one was 15-5 before the Flames pestering backcourt extended their edge to 36-12 by the half.
The Tigers (0-12) came out of the break with some energy, trapping on defense and getting a few quick, easy buckets to build momentum. The Flames wouldn't allow Galion to cut much into the advantage, however, leading 54-31 heading into the fourth where MC kept the pedal to the metal until the final horn.
