Hello everybody! Nice to meet you all. I'm Luke Wickiser. I started writing for the OH Report last August, and it's been an absolute blast working with Brian, Jori and the rest of the crew!
Writing pregame and postgame analysis for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and occasionally the Cincinnati Bengals is always interesting for me. I really enjoy finding solid sources, finding out what the story is, and then using my writing skills to entertain you, loyal fans and followers of the OH Report!
A little bit of backstory about me: I am a proud 2010 graduate of Carey High School. Go Blue Devils! In addition to that I also graduated from both Kent State and Findlay. Discovering my passion for sports writing has been a winding road for me too. What initially started out as a hobby posting Cleveland Indians postgame analysis on Facebook in my college dorm room at Kent State, eventually became a job, as I have written for the Daily Chief-Union in Upper Sandusky, the Advertiser-Tribune in Tiffin, for the University of Findlay, and now for the OH Report. Sports writing is just something I'm skilled at and passionate about, and it doesn't feel like work.
For everyone who already reads my takes, I appreciate it. Thank you so much. Helping to build the OH Report into something even more special for you all by using my skills is so much fun, and I enjoy seeing everyone else's reactions.
For those of you who haven't read any of my takes before, you're in for a treat! I hope you enjoy them, learn something from them, and get excited about football season. I've had the nickname Animal for the last 15 years for being passionate, enthusiastic and vocal. The nickname started when I was the student manager for the Carey football team, and has carried over to my writing style and who I am as a sports fan and person. I'm really excited to put out great work for every fan in the OH Report community! Let's get after it!
