D4 Shelby District Champion was to be crowned, the Mohawk Lady Warriors would defeat Plymouth 4-2.

 

A defensive battle where both teams struggled to get any ducks on the pond. Mohawk ended the game with only 4 hits, yet great base running and great choices they were able to get 4 runs across home plate to give enough cushion for Bailey Sheets

 

Sheets pitched a full 7 innings striking out 4, allowing 6 hits and only 2 earned runs. Mohawk struggled up until the 6th inning when Aubrie Harper would hit into a fielder's choice which then turned into a Plymouth error. Two runners would cross the plate.

 

Plymouth tried to battle back in the bottom of the 7th as they got a fielders choice from Mohawks defense. However they would run out of steam as Mohawk would pick up the huge w and move onto regionals.
