Lucas, OH - It was at least 30. That’s how many turnovers the #6 Cubs created against #12 Plymouth as Lucas advanced to a Sectional Championship with a 51-27 rout over Plymouth.

 

The Cubs jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first, but Plymouth responded with its own 10-0 run. Looking to close the quarter with the lead, the Big Red instead turned it over which led to a Jamie Grover layup at the buzzer to put Lucas up 12-10 after 1.

 

That’s as close as the game would be as the Cubs led 24-12 at the half and never looked back.

 

Shelby Grover finished with 23 points to lead the Cubs. Jamie Grover had eight and each Cub wound up scoring tonight.

 

For Plymouth, Erin Stevens had a team-high 13 points including three 3-pointers.

 

Lucas will play the winner of #3 Norwalk St. Paul and #13 Crestline on Saturday.
