ONTARIO -- Ontario was unable to defend their home diamond against the visiting Ashland Arrows, who scored a quality 4-1 road win against the Lady Warriors.

 

It was a slow night for both offenses as both teams were playing absolutely stellar in the field, while the pitching for Ashland would prove to be a strong suit that they could constantly rely on throughout the afternoon. In one particular case, there were three ducks on the pond with nobody out for Ontario and it seemed they would bust the game wide open, but 3 swinging strikeouts later, Ashland would survive the inning unscathed.

 

The Arrows would be the first team in the scoring column driving home a solo RBI to end the 2nd inning. Later on, the Warriors would tie the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the 4th.

 

Ashland took back the lead in the 5th by driving home a run before busting the game wide open with two back-to-back dingers in the top of the 7th. Ontario could not find the offensive firepower to get back in the game, ending the night on a strikeout to cement an Ashland victory.
