SHELBY -- A great overall showing by Ontario in their MOAC opener at Shelby saw the Lady Warriors claim a dominating 7-0 victory on the road.

Ontario struck early with Mullins crossing the dish in the top of the first. The Lady Whippets would get runners on base during their first two at-bats but could not advance anyone home as the Lady Warriors tacked on to their lead in the third to make it 2-0.

The game-changing play happened in the top of the fourth where Cavoli swatted a three-run bomb to left-center to push Ontario's advantage out to 5-0 before adding another score in the frame. Henige would score one of her two runs in the sixth to round out the Lady Warriors scoring as they ran away with a shutout victory over their conference rivals.
