Ontario Miscues Aid Strasburg-Franklin 11-3 Win

ASHLAND -- The Wendy's Spring Classic kicked off with an error-laden performance by Ontario, helping lead Strasburg-Franklin to an 11-3 victory at Brookside Park in Ashland.

RBI by Emma Gilkerson and Amelia Spidell in the bottom of the first pushed the Tigers to a 2-0 advantage before Joselyn Frazier belted a 2-run blast in the third to put the Warriors on top 3-2. From that point forward, a combination of potent Strasburg-Franklin hitting and costly fielding miscues by Ontario would allow the Tigers to score the next nine runs.

Strasburg-Franklin posted three runs in the third, another pair in the fourth before blowing things open with a monster sixth frame. A trio of Warriors mistakes led to five more Tigers runs, who iced the win with a 1-2-3 defensive inning in the seventh.
