Northmor Hits 6 Threes To Upset East Knox 52-38

HOWARD --- ​​The Northmor Lady Knights used five first half threes and six total to upset East Knox 52-38 in a Division 4 Girls Sectional Final.
 

The 10th-seeded Lady Knights used a 16-4 run midway through the second quarter to establish a lead that would not go under double digits the rest of the way as Paige Caudill hit three threes in the half and finished with 11 points after 16 minutes while Lexi Wenger went into the break with 10 points.
 

The 5th-seeded Bulldogs picked up its defensive pressure in the third quarter, but a continued cold performance on the offensive end saw them only outscore Northmor 4-3 to trail 32-18 heading into the fourth.
 

Both teams picked up the offense in the fourth, but the Lady Knights led was too much for East Knox as they head back to the District Semifinals where they will face either #3 Fisher Catholic #13 Grove City Christian on Tuesday at 7:00.
 

Northmor was led by Wenger's team high 16 points while Caudill followed with 13 points and Reagan Swihart also scored in double figures with 11 points.
 

The Lady Bulldogs were led by Shanda Melick's 17 points while Joci Totten followed with 9 points.
