Arguably the greatest athlete ever to walk the halls at Shelby High School is 2018 graduate Brennan Armstrong. A 3-sport star, Armstrong led the Whippets on the football field, basketball hardwood and the baseball diamond before graduating early to enroll at the University of Virginia where he is expected to be the starting quarterback during his upcoming sophomore season.

The only 3-time All-Ohioan ever to play football for the Whippets is now preparing for life as QB1 for the Cavaliers, taking over for record-breaking signal caller Bryce Perkins who led UVA to the Orange Bowl last season.
