Mount Gilead Tomahawks Centerburg 51-31
CENTERBURG -- The Mount Gilead Lady Indians remained in the hunt for second place in the KMAC with a 51-31 victory over Centerburg.
The Lady Indians (9-4, 6-4 KMAC) jumped out to an 11-0 lead and never looked back outscoring Centerburg (3-12, 2-8 KMAC) 15-6 in the opening period.
Mount Gilead then started strong in the second quarter before the Lady Trojans started fighting back cutting its deficit to seven at 26-19 at the break.
The Lady Indians then pulled away in the third with a 12-4 quarter to put the game out of reach.
Mount Gilead was led by Holly Gompf's game high 12 points while Candice Millisor also reached double figures with 11 points.
Centerburg was led by Chloe Goulter, who also scored a game high 12 points.
