#1 Mohawk Rolls #6 Arlington 12-2 In 6 Innings

GALION --  The Mohawk Warriors are back in a Division 4 Regional Semifinal after defeating Arlington 12-2 in 6 innings in the Galion District Championship.

The #1 Warriors struck for a run in the first and second innings on RBI by Nate Geary and Xavier Oesch.

They then blew the game open in the bottom of the fourth scoring eight runs on seven including RBI by Tyler Hayman, Geary, Blake Harper, Troy Russell, and Travis Geary making it 10-0.

#6 Arlington kept the game going in the top of the fifth when Austin Rausch scored on an error and Jared Griggs followed on a Frankie Jones RBI single.

The Warriors would then end things in the bottom of the sixth after loading the bases to start the inning. Oesch then hit a 2-run double to end the game.

Mohawk takes its first District Championship since 2016 and will take on Leipsic in the Patrick Henry Regional Semifinal on Thursday at 2:00 PM.
