Cougars Close Out Regular Season
With 72-47 Blowout of Mapleton
OLIVESBURG - Crestview wrapped-up their regular season with a lopsided 72-47 win over Mapleton as the Cougars rode the hot hand of Evan Hamilton to victory at the Cougars Den.
Hamilton earned Kissel's Player of the Game honors for his 20 point performance, helping his squad build an early lead on senior night and Crestview never looked back. The Cougars (15-7) led 16-12 after the first quarter, extending their edge to 35-23 by the halftime break.
The Mounties (4-17) could not slow down the Crestview offensive arsenal, who extended their advantage to 52-36 by the end of the third before closing out a blowout victory over their cross-county rivals with a
20-11 fourth quarter spurt.
