The Mansfield Christian girls basketball team are OCSAA State Champions with a 53-41 victory over New Hope Christian Academy at Ohio Christian University in Circleville.

The Lady Flames seized an early lead and never looked back, building a 13-7 cushion by the second quarter and took a 20-15 advantage into the locker room at halftime. MC then created some separation on the scoreboard out of the break, pushing their edge to double-figures at 37-27 entering the final eight minutes of action.

Behind Elle Schmitz and Aubryn Maiyer, who combined for 30 points, the Lady Flames would lock up the state title with a 16-13 fourth quarter run to end the game. MC also got nine points from Bri Keib, six by Anna Sparks and Alexis Rippel scored five points.

Sadie Pruitt was the top scoring threat for the Statesmen with 14 points while Maren McCallister and Alyssa Conrad each added seven points in a runners-up effort.
