Sauder Goes Off In Lucas Win At Pleasant

It's now 3 road wins to start the season for the Lucas Cubs who knocked off D5 power Marion Pleasant 35-21 at Don Kay Stadium in Week 3.
Ethan Sauder was the difference in the game, scoring four Lucas touchdowns including three TD receptions for 141 yards as the Cubs took an early 14-0 lead and never waivered. Andrew Smollen completed 6 of his 7 throws for 217 yards and 3 TD's while Grant Barrett added a scoring run to push Lucas to 3-0 with wins over the Spartans, Clear Fork and Ontario.
Austin Shaffer was Pleasant's top offensive threat with 25 rushes for 157 yards, throwing for 106 yards and accounting for 2 touchdowns.
Next up for Lucas (3-0) is a date at Troy Christian (1-2) while Pleasant (1-2) heads to River Valley (2-1).
