The Lexington cross-country team once again proved they were the top unit in the state, bringing home their third consecutive Division II state championship.
Lady Lex smoked the field, finishing 87 points better than runner-up Granville to claim the title in dominating fashion.
Led by junior Halle Hamilton, who finished in third place, Lexington collected their fourth championship in five years at the event. They received a seventh-place finish from junior Lily Weeks, a 21st place showing by junior Joanna Halfhill while underclassmen Natalie Dininger and Emma Wise crossed the finish line in 44th and 50th, respectively.
Lady Lex will return all but one runner from their state squad, including the entire top five.
