MANSFIELD -- A wire to wire victory for Lexington over Lucas at the Wayne Roller Classic saw Madison Basilone help Lady Lex overcome Shelby Grover's big night in a 44-32 win.

Basilone scored 10 of her team-high 16 points in the first half as the sophomore guard helped Lexington build a 22-17 edge by the break. Despite Grover's game-tops 19 point scoring night, Lady Lex would pull away from Lucas in the third with a dominating 10-3 stretch capped-off by a 12-9 advantage in the fourth to claim a Richland County win.

 

Avery Coleman added 8 points while Emma Schaefer and Kaleigh Ledbetter put up 6 pts each for Lady Lex (2-2) who held every Lucas (1-3) player not named Grover to 8 total points for the game.
