Huron dealt Crestview today in the District Semifinals 4-2 after a stellar job pitching from the Tigers Eliza Maloney who had a no hitter through 6 innings.

 

Huron would jump out in front in the bottom of the first on a Carly Chambers single that drove in two runs. After 2 more strikeouts for Crestview at the hands of Eliza in the top of the 2nd the Tigers would score again this time on a Rae Roldon single that added one to the scoring column bringing us to 3-0 in favor of Huron. One inning later a Cougars error would allow another Tiger to cross home plate and increase their lead 4-0

 

Eliza Maloney killed it today on the bump with 11 strikeouts on only 2 walked batters that kept Crestview completely silent through 6 innings. However things would get dicey for Maloney and the Huron defense as in the top of the 7th Lindsey Them would collect a fielder's choice RBI. Madilyn Aumend would keep the pressure on with an RBI single to right field that put Crestview only down 4-2. With 2 outs and a 2 balls 2 strikes count Eliza from Huron would collect her 11th and final strike out of the game ending Crestview's run at a State Title and continue their own in a big win 4-2.
