The Lucas girls basketball team may be small in numbers this season, but the Cubs are loaded with family fuel that has helped earn the squad a home sectional contest.

 

Head coach Kathy Grover has just seven total players on the Lucas roster this season, but she does share a household with her top two players, in daughters Jamie and Shelby. Though just a sophomore, Shelby leads the team in scoring and recently broke the program's single-game scoring record while senior leader Jamie just set the school's assist record for one game.

 

All three Grover's joined Brian Skowronski and Travis Berardi for an interview ahead of the Cubs tournament opener against Plymouth, and you can watch the entire conversation on the attached video.
