Lady Warriors SLAM Tigers 19-3
ONTARIO --- Galion traveled to Ontario attempting to obtain their first win of the season, but a monster 15-run inning helped the Lady Warriors sweep their MOAC rivals with a 19-3 victory.
Galion’s Tinch smacked a solo homer in the top of the 2nd for an early lead, before Ontario struck back by scoring twice in the bottom of the frame. The Warriors 2-1 advantage would then get a major boost the following inning when they batted through their lineup twice with 2-outs on the board.
Throughout the third, Ontario consistently had runners on base with hitters coming through, as Jewell, Mullins and Frazier all belted 2 RBI doubles, Crabtree smacked a 2 RBI single and Ciroli delivered the big shot on a 3-run bomb.
The Tigers found some offense of their own with 2 runs in the 4th but the score was too far out of reach to force a full game as the Warriors closed out the action in just 4.5 innings.
The win gets Ontario back to .500 at 9-9 while Galion remains winless at 0-17.
