CENTERBURG -- Comin off a huge win the previous night, Centerburg could not match the same intensity against Columbus Academy who bottled up the Trojans in a 35-32 road victory.
The first half started well for Centerburg (9-2) who held a 13-12 edge over the Vikings (7-4) heading into the second frame where they extended their advantage to 20-16 by the break. Then a cold spell came over the squad in the third quarter where the Trojans failed to score a single basket while turning over the ball multiple times against Columbus Academy's half-court zone defense.
Centerburg would come alive in the closing minutes after falling behind by seven points in the fourth, but could not get a shot off to tie the game on their final possession as the Trojans four-game win streak came to a close.
