NORTH BLOOMFIELD --- The Columbus Academy Vikings won its second consecutive road tournament game upsetting Northmor 10-0 in five innings.

 

The #9 Vikings struck first in the first inning on a Brady Hess three-run home run.

 

The #5 Golden Knights tried to answer in the bottom of the second with two hits putting runners on the corners, but Columbus Academy starter Dylan Ritzenthaler got out of the inning then cruised from there not allowing another hit.

 

He then helped himself in the top of the third with one on when he sent a deep line drive to left that deflected off the left fielder's glove and over the fence for a home run and a 5-0 lead.

 

The Vikings then put the game away in the top of the fifth loading the bases with one out, they plated runs on a fielders choice, sacrifice fly, 2 RBI single and a RBI double making it 10-0.

 

Ritzenthaler then worked a scoreless bottom of the fifth to finish the run-rule game.
