CAREY -- Colonel Crawford remains the last undefeated team in the Northern 10 Conference with a 53-50 victory at Carey in a matchup between 4-0 squads.

The Eagles (5-0) exploded from the jump with a 22-point first quarter, but saw the Blue Devils (4-1) trim down their lead to 31-27 by the half with a 12-9 run in the second. The game remained tight at 41-37 heading into the final frame where Carey had a chance to force overtime with a 3-point attempt in the closing seconds but Crawford would survive with a key conference victory.

Leading scorer Caret Valentine put up 18 pts for the Eagles while Mason Studer added 14 and Chase Walker scored nine. The Blue Devils received balanced scoring with 13 from Landen Kemerley, and a dozen each from Hayden Nash and Cade Crawford.
