11-29-2019 The "Colt Corral"
Clear Fork vs Lexington
Colts Run By Minutemen On Opening Night
Richland County rivals Lexington and Clear Fork met at the "Colt Corral" to kick off the 2019-'20 boy's basketball season on Friday night where the home team overcame a slow start for a 57-44 Colts victory.
The Minutemen stunned Clear Fork in the opening minutes, taking a 14-5 lead through one quarter of action and held a 22-17 edge at the break with Max Waldruff scoring 9 of his team-high 17 in the first half.
A balanced Colts scoring attack, featuring four double-digit scorers, would outscore Lexington 40-22 the rest of the way as Brady Tedrow led all scorers with 19, Ethan Delany added 13 and Brennan South and Jared Scott each chipped-in with 11 each. Dylan Spears would score 10 to help pace the Minutemen offense with Denny Shaffer contributing with eight.
Lexington will next play Wooster on the road while Clear Fork hosts South Central.
