Cubs Defeat Comets

LUCAS - - In the return of Riley Gossom on senior night, Lucas edged Central Christian 46-30 on an emotional night at the Cub Cave.

Ethan Sauder and Gossom were named co-players of the game with Sauder delivering 17 points and Riley enjoying his first game back on the court after suffering a tragic leg injury due to a car accident in October. Gossom started and scored a three-pointer late in the first quarter during his season debut. 

Gossom was also seen with his brothers on the court to finish the game. 

The Comets struggled on offense, turning over the ball 13 times and failing to create open shots. as they scored just two points in the opening frame and trailed the Cubs 17-11 at the half. Lucas then created separation with a monster third quarter, outscoring Kidron 23-4 in the frame to blow open the contest.
