Centerburg Holds Off Northmor 56-52
NORTH BLOOMFIELD --- The Centerburg Trojans used a second half comeback to hold off the Northmor Golden Knights 56-52 to remain unbeaten in the KMAC.
The Golden Knights (2-15, 1-10 KMAC) started strong while limiting turnovers to lead 14-11 after one and 25-23 at the break, but the Trojans (12-2, 10-0 KMAC) answered back behind the play of Carter Jones, who scored 13 in the third to take a 44-37 lead after three.
Northmor would not go away, however, starting the fourth on a 9-0 run to take a 46-44 lead, but it would be the final time they would be in front as Centerburg would take the lead back on the next possession on a 4-point play by Levi Houck.
The Trojans then held on with free throws late to remain a game ahead of Fredericktown in the conference standings.
