Boggs & Kiser
Sign With D1 Softball Teams
A pair of Madison softball studs shared the spotlight, like they have their entire careers on the diamond, at a special ceremony where they each signed letters of intent to continue their athletic careers with Division 1 programs.
Sloan Kiser signed on for a full-ride scholarship with the University of Akron while Leah Boggs inked her academic and playing future with the University of Virginia.
During her prep career, Kiser has been an All-District performer twice and made second-team All-Ohio each of the last two seasons for her play as a pitcher. Boggs has landed on the first-team All-Ohio list twice as a catcher, earning All-Northwest District honors all three of her high school seasons.
Both Lady Rams standouts are equally as impressive in the classroom as well, with Sloan claiming a 3.4 GPA and Leah a 3.75. They will compete one last time for coach Tim Niswander's Madison softball squad as seniors in the spring with monster expectations for the upcoming season.
