Bellevue had a HUGE upset over Shelby today 2-1 in the D2 Sectional final. This one was a real grind it out defensive battle with only 5 total hits from either team.

 

Bellevue would be the first on the board in the top of the 4th where Hunter Etienne would hit a double into the gap that would drive in one. Hunter would be one of three Red Men to even get a hit in tonight’s game. After that Shelby would make things interesting with an answer in the scoring column on a bunt from Jackson Moore that would send the man from third home and bring us tied up 1-1. Both teams would lock down the fort on defense after that, not letting up another run until the top of the 7th where Mason Bova absolutely TATTOOED a ball into left field that would give Bellevue a one run advantage 2-1. That would be his only hit on three attempts at the dish but that’s all the Red men would need from him as they would end up winning the game 2-1.
